Panda Express Allergen Menu: https://s3.amazonaws.com/PandaExpressWebsite/files/pdf/Nutrition_2030118.pdf
I remember eating at Panda Express at Easton Mall for a DECA competition. I used to be in a business club called DECA while I was in high school and I was getting food from a competition because we had it in a place that no longer exists (KDB Arcade), but I managed to have no allergic reactions eating the food. I had Chicken Potstickers and White Rice.
Chicken Potstickers
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Rationale: I really enjoyed eating the potstickers! They were hot and fresh!
Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Rationale: Vegans, gluten-free, and people who are allergic to soy should avoid eating them!
White Rice
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Rationale: The rice wasn’t crunchy at all! Rice is one of the few foods that I don’t like crunchy. Is there anyone who like crunchy rice anyway? If you do please let me know!
Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Rationale: There is no allergen present! If you are allergic to rice, please let me know so I can be more aware and highlight all the allergies I can, because that is my goal here. I want to make sure everyone who has an allergy has recognition.
Allergy Rating of the Restaurant: 2 out of 5 stars
Rationale: There is some confusion as to whether the fortune cookies have dairy or not. According to godairyfree.org the fortune cookies have no dairy in them, but on the Panda Express allergen menu the fortune cookies have dairy in them. If I were you I would ask to see if they do have dairy in them, or hopefully the wrapped package will tell you. I haven’t been to one in a while, so I couldn’t really tell you what to think off.
Also there are supposedly Tree Top Apple Crisps that are dairy-free as well according to godairyfree.org and honestly I can’t tell you when the last time Panda Express updated their allergen menu on the bottom of the website it states the year 2015, so the allergen menu hasn’t been updated in a while. Plus the last time I went to a Panda Express in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee they said that they cross contaminate the utensils so they couldn’t serve me since that location didn’t have potstickers. It could’ve been that location, but I would communicate to the person taking your order that you have a food allergy. I’m concerned about this place for food allergy safety. On the plus side their allergy menu is easy to read!
