Ben's Allergy & Restaurant Reviews

City BBQ: Awesome Place for BBQ!!!

December 17, 2023 by Ben

City BBQ Allergen Menu:https://www.citybbq.com/sites/default/files/2023-06/Allergen%20Sheet%206.2.23.pdf

I have eaten at City BBQ since I was a kid, and have always enjoyed eating there. There is one 15 minutes away and my Dad or Mom gets it and brings it to the house when they’re in the area because they love it too! I love BBQ and I really enjoy eating BBQ and this is my first allergy & restaurant review of a BBQ place and I’m excited to review City BBQ!

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I love eating their ribs, brisket, pulled pork, fries, and I’ll eat their green beans as well. The fries have to be the highlight. The fries might be at the top of the list. Get that with ribs, brisket or pulled pork, you have a really good meal coming your way! I would highly recommend it if you like BBQ!

Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I have never had an allergic reaction, plus they have an allergen menu. BBQ tends to be very friendly for people like me who are allergic to dairy because meat doesn’t have dairy. Plenty of choices for me to eat. Don’t eat the pulled chicken or the smoked sausage that has dairy in it. Minus those two the menu is pretty wide open, fries and green beans for sides give you two options every time you eat at City BBQ. I would highly recommend eating at City BBQ for anyone who has food allergies and looking for good food. City BBQ is your answer!

Rooster’s: Really Good Food!

December 17, 2023 by Ben

Rooster’s Allergen Menu: https://d651b0bc45559e9eaafa-f4d239947d449bf5c8da6abd73db9e1f.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/Menu-Allergens-June-2023.pdf

Rooster’s is a restaurant chain that is popular in the Central Ohio area. There are lots of Rooster’s locations and there is a Rooster’s in my hometown of Marysville, Ohio that I enjoy a lot and eat at often.

Grilled Chicken Tenders

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I enjoyed this for a while as that was the only entree that I knew to be dairy-free. It was fresh and juicy and I really enjoyed eating it!

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: Vegans and vegetarians wouldn’t want to eat this! The grilled fingers do have corn as an allergy but the cajun fingers don’t. If you have a corn allergy order the cajun fingers.

Big Bob’s Burgers

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I get these burgers everytime and every time I enjoy these delicious delicacies!

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: If you are allergic to gluten, order it without the bun and ask to see because the website has the burgers without the bun and I’m sure they have added toppings that might have gluten in it. The Big Bob’s Burger without the bun contains wheat, but I would ask, I couldn’t even imagine a piece of meat having gluten, but there are things that I wouldn’t think have gluten in it but do. Like People think of dairy. I have to explain to people that this food actually does or doesn’t have dairy and people are shocked when they hear the truth.

Curly Fries/Tater Tots

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I normally get the Tater Tots and I enjoy eating them! I have had the curly fries and also enjoyed them as well! Can’t go wrong with either of these side dishes.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: Tater Tots contain soy, while the curly fries contain Wheat (Gluten) and Soy. Vegans and Vegetarians should have no problem eating these delicious delicacies.

Traditional Wings

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: The traditional bone-in wings are really good. They are hot and fresh and I really enjoyed them. I also had leftovers because the wings are huge. I ordered 10 thinking they were small but I only ate 5 and saved the leftovers and had cold chicken. I’m a fan of cold chicken by the way, and I really enjoyed it both times I had it.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars: It contains Wheat (Gluten) and soy. Vegans and Vegetarians probably wouldn’t want to eat the wings!

Allergy Rating of Restaurant: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I remember when they didn’t have an allergen menu and we were dependent on the waiters/waitresses to make sure my food didn’t have dairy in it. I used to be able to eat the fried mushrooms but they put dairy in the fried mushrooms so that is not an option for me anymore. I’m glad they have an allergy menu for people like me. I have eaten here for years and haven’t had an allergic reaction. I’ve communicated with the waiters/waitresses and it has made the difference for me not to have an allergic reaction. I would highly recommend eating at this establishment because they take food allergies very seriously, plus they have really good food.

Buc-ee’s: Limited Menu, but luckily it’s a Convenience Store!

December 17, 2023 by Ben

*Read the Ingredients of the item. It is like a grocery store! No Allergen Menu!

I went to Buc-ee’s on my way down and back from a trip to Atlanta, Georgia with my college. I did buy a Buc-ee’s shirt. Buc-ee’s are common in the South like Texas, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, & Tennessee. It is so crowded there it is crazy! I stopped at a Buc-ee’s two hours away from Atlanta and it was pretty cool to see the store and how nice it is kept clean (seriously the bathrooms were really clean). It is a great place to get gas and stretch after sitting on a bus for hours on end.

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I love the Buc-ee’s Beaver Chips. They were like a fried potato chip. I thought they were amazing and I really enjoyed the fact they had them at the location. Those were the closest things to Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalo Chips that they used to sell. If you view or listen to my Buffalo Wild Wings Allergy & Restaurant Review I talk about how much I miss the Buffalo Chips. Unfortunately there isn’t a Buc-ee’s close to me at all. I have heard rumors that a Buc-ee’s is opening in Huber Heights, Ohio which is an hour or two away from my hometown of Marysville, Ohio. Overall, I would eat the Beaver Chips again. The food is not like gas station food that is stereotyped for being bad.

Article for Buc-ee’s moving to Ohio: https://www.wlwt.com/article/buc-ee-s-ohio-huber-heights-opening-plans/45121085#

Allergy Rating of Restaurant: 2 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I was trying to order BBQ (Brisket or pork), but it had dairy in it, which I’m sitting here like I’ve never seen dairy in Pulled Pork or Brisket and I’m allergic to dairy so that doesn’t work at all. Luckily they do have things labeled and really that is the allergen menu. It is exactly like looking at labels at a grocery store like Walmart or Kroger. It is pretty good at labeling and as much as the hot food doesn’t have very many options for me I was glad that Buc-ee’s didn’t hide anything for me, plus it is like a grocery store and you can find items because that store is huge! Overall I would recommend going to Buc-ee’s but it is extremely busy, but it is worth the wait because it is a clean establishment.

Sheetz: Not Your Normal Gas Station Food!

December 17, 2023 by Ben

Sheetz Allergen Menu: https://m.nutritionix.com/sheetz/menu/special-diets/premium

I remember going to Sheetz in Pennsylvania and they are everywhere over there and have now started to move into Ohio. My hometown of Marysville, Ohio just got a Sheetz just this past year. I enjoy that it is a convenience store and a restaurant inside of it.

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: When I first took a bite out of the chicken stripz I was really surprised with the results. My food was hot and fresh! I’ve heard from friends that Sheetz had really good food and I can’t disagree with them! I’ve only had their chicken stripz & fryz, they also have curly fryz that are really good as well. The food is good and it is not like gas station food that is stereotyped to be not good. It is worth a try!

Allergy Rating of Restaurant: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: Communicate your allergies by telling them your allergies at the cash register or the person cooking your food. Sheetz luckily does have multiple ordering options as well and you can type it in and that will hopefully make sure you have full control on what is being ordered. Sheetz has kiosks to order food there. You can also order on the Sheetz app, most of the time I order off the Sheetz app because it is more convenient so you don’t have to do that while in a busy convenience store. You’re more than welcome to order off the kiosk though your food might be fresher if you do that, whether you’re looking for speed or convenience Sheetz does a great job of giving you plenty of options. I like ordering off the app also because I can go and pay at the cash register and tell them the name of my order and they get it to me pretty quick. I don’t have to waste time doing that, plus I have only an hour lunch break and I don’t want to wait long because I have a limited time frame. Overall, Sheetz has does a great job handling allergies and having the allergy menu wizard and I’ve never had an allergic reaction at Sheetz during the short time it has been in Marysville.

Ben Alexander’s Eats of The Week 12/4-12/10

December 12, 2023 by Ben

Monday 12/4:

Lunch: 4 slices of Marco’s Pizza

Rationale: Sausage, green peppers, and mushrooms are all dairy-free. The crust is dairy-free and I ordered the pizza without cheese, & added some dairy-free cheese to my pizza.

Dinner: Pork Roast, mixed vegetables, and snowmen & Christmas tree gummies

Rationale: Pork Roast is dairy-free, the mixed vegetables don’t have butter in them, and the snowmen & Christmas tree gummies are really good!

Tuesday 12/5:

Lunch: Pork Roast, Raisins, and snowmen & Christmas tree gummies

Rationale: I was looking for a quick lunch to eat instead of heating up mixed vegetables. I took raisins instead.

Dinner: Asian Cafe, It is a Chinese (Asian) buffet or carryout place.

Rationale: I ate at the buffet and I had lots of good food. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was dairy-free and it has been a staple for me since I was a kid. Fried Rice has no eggs in it and that makes me happy because I am allergic to predominantly egg products. Green beans and potatoes don’t have butter in it and the frog legs are dairy-free. Frog legs taste like chicken, they’re really good. The fortune cookies are dairy-free as well and only contain soy and wheat. I like to top it off with a dessert and that is Jello. It is dairy-free and I enjoy Asian Cafe’s Jello.

Wednesday 12/6:

Lunch: Pork Roast, Raisins, and snowmen & Christmas tree gummies.

Rationale: I like eating leftovers and I know I ate the same thing, but my parents made a really good pork roast and I didn’t want to waste it!

Dinner: Culver’s!

Rationale: I really enjoy the chicken tenders and fries like I explained in my Culver’s allergy & restaurant review. I put the allergy & restaurant review on my Tik Tok, website, podcasts, YouTube, Instagram, & Facebook. Just search Culver’s and you should find it! As I explained, I love how fresh and juicy the chicken tenders are. They don’t have dairy in it and finding dairy-free chicken tenders is challenging because everyone wants to use buttermilk. Culver’s proves that you can have dairy-free chicken tenders and don’t need to put buttermilk in them. The fries are really hot too. They’re crinkle cut and fresh off the fryer. I have never eaten a lukewarm or cold meal at Culver’s, making Culver’s a really good restaurant!!!

Thursday 12/7:

Lunch: Dino chicken nuggets, raisins, and Grandma’s pumpkin bread!

Rationale: Dino chicken nuggets are really good and though it may be childish, I can’t complain. If it is a dino or a circle I don’t care about the shape unless it’s good and I like the Yummy Brand Dino chicken nuggets. Raisins are a quick fruit and a go-to for me so I can eat my fruits and vegetables for the day. Grandma’s pumpkin bread is really good! She has made it for me for a very long time without any allergy concerns, thanks Grandma!!!

Dinner: McDonalds!!!

Rationale: I had the Chicken McNuggets! They are fresh and hot coming out of the fryer and I really enjoyed eating them last night. Plus they don’t have dairy and I have heard that McDonald’s uses separate fryers for their McNuggets and that is a really good feeling to have. Because you know for a fact that it won’t be cross contiminated. Before you eat the McNuggets make sure it is safe for you to eat by telling the person taking your order of your allergies and doing your research to make sure you’re safe eating it. From personal experience I haven’t had any allergic reactions to the McNuggets and a go-to for me when I go to McDonald’s. I also had an apple pie. Finding a dairy-free dessert can be challenging and luckily McDonald’s has an apple pie that is dairy-free and it is a must-have when I go to McDonald’s.

Snack: Buffalo Wild Wings

Rationale: I enjoyed a late night snack (or a full-sized meal because I had 18 boneless wings) with some friends of mine and I really enjoyed Buffalo Wild Wings boneless wings and truly it is

a favorite of mine for a long time.

Friday 12/8:

Lunch: Leftover Wings from Buffalo Wild Wings and some of Grandma’s pumpkin bread!

Rationale: I was looking for a quick meal and this was the best I could do! I can’t complain about Bdubs wings and Grandma’s Pumpkin bread! The Lunch of Champions!!!!

Dinner: Homemade Pizza! I also had salad & grandma’s pumpkin bread

Rationale: homemade pizza is a wonderful way to avoid allergic reactions and it gives you a very quick meal to make.

Saturday 12/9:

Lunch: leftover homemade pizza, peaches and a pack of strawberry Poptarts

Rationale: Homemade pizza is an easy leftover meal where you can enjoy seconds the next day!

Dinner: Sheetz: Chicken Strips, fries, and a Boston crème pie

Rationale: you might be surprised to find that the Boston crème pie is dairy-free but it is. JJ’s bakery has lots of delicious dairy-free pies. With Sheetz you can’t do anything wrong with the chicken strips or fries. I’ll take them any day of the week.

Sunday 12/10:

Lunch: Tres Potrillos. I had chips & salsa, plus carnita fries.

Rationale: This restaurant gives me lots of choices when it comes to dairy-free food.

Dinner: Pizza Crescent rolls, peaches, and Grandma’s zucchini and pineapple bread

Rationale: Easy to make and easy to enjoy pizza crescent rolls are really good and allergy friendly. Put your toppings and dairy-free cheese and enjoy!

Zaxby’s: Does it Deal Well With Allergies?

December 11, 2023 by Ben

Zaxby’s Allergen Menu: https://www.zaxbys.com/uploads/Zaxbys_Nutrition_trifold_2022_P3_web_83a6cecd01_rotated_215301d30f.pdf

I live in Ohio (30 minutes away from Columbus, OH) and I don’t have a Zaxby’s nowhere nearby. The closest Zaxby’s is in Kentucky. Though I hope they will expand to Ohio someday. I have only had Zaxby’s twice once in Chattanooga, TN and Fort Myers, FL.

Wings

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: The meat was really juicy and I can tell that it was fresh! I really enjoyed eating my wings either the boneless or the traditional wings should be really good for anyone looking for a bite to eat if you reside in an area where a Zaxby’s is within a driving distance. I remember eating there while I was on vacation.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: Not good for vegans, if you’re a vegan you can always get a salad, as Zaxby’s does offer salads (Zalads) on their menu. Gluten-Free people should stay away from the boneless wings but the traditional wings are gluten-free so that is an option as well for gluten-free people.

Fries

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: The fries had some sort of seasoning on that wasn’t salt, but it was honestly really good and it made it unique from any other french fry I have ever had. It was fresh and I honestly really liked it.

Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: There is no allergens present for these delicacies. Seems like 5 stars is the only answer, right?

Texas Toast

Food Rating: 5 stars out of 5 stars

Rationale: Every Texas Toast I have known has had dairy in it, but Zaxby’s is the exception and that is what I crave the most about this place is the Texas Toast. True story I visited my Aunt and Uncle in Florida and we went to a Fort Myers Mighty Mussels baseball game in the middle of June. So it was super hot. I online ordered Zaxby’s and I quickly ate my wings and fries, but I ordered myself some Texas Toast and it sat in the car for the remainder of the baseball games (we came in on a doubleheader day), it was 5 hours worth of baseball at least. We had no idea there was a double header so we came in the middle of the first game. But it was fresh when I got in the car and I ate it on the way to my Aunt and Uncle’s house. It was really good even after sitting in the Florida sun for hours. Highly recommend this item for anyone that can eat it (sorry gluten-free people).

Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: The fact that there is a restaurant that serves dairy-free Texas Toast blows my mind! I’m so thankful to have eaten the Texas Toast. That is enough for me to put this amazing piece of bread as 5 stars for thinking about not putting dairy in the Texas Toast!

Allergy Rating of Restaurant: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: They do amazing with allergies and I was pretty happy every time I have been there. Every time I see a Zaxby’s I want to pull over and eat at one. Like with every restaurant there is a possibility of cross-contamination, but I have been pleased with the quality of food and no allergic reactions. That is what I look for every time I eat food, and I’m trying to help you do the same.

Wingstop: Is it Worth It?

December 11, 2023 by Ben

Wingstop Allergen Menu: https://www.wingstop.com/allergens

Wingstop Tenders and Wings for a Big Dairy-Free Win

I have only had Wingstop once. I tried to go another time but I had to online order ahead of time and I couldn’t dine in or take it to go. This was because of the COVID pandemic, luckily they opened up their restaurant more and I was able to order at the restaurant and take it to go and ate it in my friend’s truck. We just went to Bowlero Lanes on Sawmill Road. This is in Columbus, Ohio by the way. The Wingstop was right next to the bowling alley so it was a short drive luckily.

Wings

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I really enjoyed eating here. The wings were juicy and delicious. I was legitimately really happy with these wings and I can’t complain about the food quality. I get the wings plain because I really don’t like having any sauce on my wings. I am kind of picky when it comes to my chicken. I don’t like it stringy and I like to have no sauce. Though if I am forced to choose a sauce that is dairy-free I’ll eat it because there is nothing else to eat.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: Really the only people who shouldn’t eat this is gluten-free people, vegans, and people who have soy allergies. Wingstop does a great job to make sure the allergens are labeled very clearly. If you have an allergy please check the links at the top to make sure you’re getting food that is free of your allergen.

Fries

Food Rating; 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: The fries had a really good seasoning to it, and I personally enjoyed eating them. You can easily taste the seasoning on the fries and I really enjoyed eating them. I highly recommend you order fries if you’re looking for good tasting food.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: Their website doesn’t guarantee that they’re gluten-free, and the oil the fries are in contains soy, so people with soy allergies should avoid eating them.

Allergy Review of Restaurant: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I thought Wingstop made lots of precautions and took allergies very seriously. They have every allergen labeled in a simple form on their website. It is extremely easy to identify what you can and can’t eat. The only part that could be improved is having options for vegans, gluten-free people, and people who are allergic to soy. For me being allergic to dairy, I loved it! There were so many options. I can get the wings, chicken tenders, and the chicken sandwich, and I will definitely come back and eat it again.

How Does Wendy’s Deal with Allergies?

December 11, 2023 by Ben

Wendy’s Allergen Menu: https://www.wendys.com/nutrition-allergens

I have always eaten at Wendy’s as a kid and still eat Wendy’s today as an adult. Wendy’s have fresh and quality food and they have plenty of dairy-free options for me to eat their safely. I did have an allergic reactions because Wendy’s put cheese in the cheeseburger, but I take fault for that because I just ate my sandwich and didn’t check it before I ate it. I ended up puking the burger, and I took one singular bite and the allergic reaction came on immediately, as a warning be careful and make sure the order is communicated to the workers and always double check the workers because the workers aren’t always aware of food allergies, but if you share this article to anyone who works at Wendy’s or food service that would be awesome. Because I don’t want anyone to experience what I experience and I want as many people in food service to be aware of the severity of food allergies and making sure they know how to prepare food safely for people with food allergies, that is why I started this company is to bridge the gap and educate everyone about the severity of food allergies.

Wendy’s does have an allergen menu. Though it is unique. If you go on their website and order online you can click the menu and click the item in question and it tells you what allergens in contains. Which is really cool, and it gives you all the details and ingredients for each item, which is really cool and unique. I know if you sit-in you can find an allergen menu posted on a board somewhere in the store, but you can go online and make sure you’re good to go.

Burgers

Food Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I have always enjoyed the burgers here and have really enjoyed it with the bacon especially if the bacon is crispy and I would highly recommend eating Wendy’s burgers if you are looking for a good burger. Their buns are pretty good too and will not disappoint you. The breakfast baconator was good too I would highly recommend eating their burgers for breakfast too.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: Burgers are very customizable and you can get it with or without the bun, the only people who wouldn’t like this are vegans and vegetarians. Though they know not to eat these, They would definetlely enjoy the salad more.

Chicken

Food Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: There are lots of options for me to eat chicken, I normally get the orignal chicken nuggets, but I do enjoy their chicken sandwiches (grilled or fried) and I also had their spicy nuggets as well. Lots of different chicken options and when it is fresh it is really good. I don’t have too many complaints about Wendy’s chicken as I find it to be really good and would highly recommend eating it.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: Gluten-Free people won’t be able to enjoy this, but they can get the grilled chicken without the bun, or opt for a bunless burger. Sandwiches are really customizable and they would be fine, but Wendy’s doesn’t have gluten-free chicken nuggets, so those are the two options I would recommend people with gluten sensitivities.

Fries/Baked Potato

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I love how they use sea-salt on their fries, and they are well-salted every-time and I would highly recommend eating the fries everytime. You can customize it, I put chili on my fries and I have also added bacon fries. There are many more custimization options like Ghost Pepper, Pub, and cheese fries as well. Most fast food restaurants don’t have that many customization options and that is why it is five stars. My Parents always get me a baked potato whenever I am sick or can’t even anything hard, it is always nice to have that option as it isn’t offered at any other fast food place.

Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: It’s fries and baked potatoes, one of the most allergy-friendly foods you can find unless you put dairy (butter) or peanut oil, in them. Luckily Wendy’s doesn’t have any of that.

Chili

Food Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I enjoy the chili alot it is good on fries and it is good in the winters when it is cold and you need something warm.

Allergy rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rationale: minus the beef that takes out the vegans and vegetarians, I don’t know what else would be in chili that someone would be allergic too.

Allergy Review on the Restaurant as a whole:

3 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I have had some allergic reactions at Wendy’s, but it was my fault, though the workers could’ve made the order correctly, but I need to check and check again to see if it is dairy-free or not. Getting lazy and not checking is what can kill you, and you definetely don’t want to loosely eat stuff here because it can happen if you’re not careful, since most people don’t think about food allergies, with that being said, I think Wendy’s does a great job of putting their stuff on the website, you can check the allergy stuff and order it at the same time, I do like Wendy’s concept, plus. they’re plenty of options when it comes to ordering food that is allergy-free. They don’t have many vegan options, though I do remember they had a black bean burger at one point, but I didn’t see it on their online menu, so I really don’t know what happened and why it disappeared. Overall, I would recommend eating at Wendy’s.

White Castle: Is it Good?

December 11, 2023 by Ben

White Castle Allergen Menu: https://www.whitecastle.com/pdfs/nutrition/White-Castle-Ingredient-List.pdf

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Rationale: I love the mini hamburgers and I really enjoyed them. The sliders reminded me of Steak & Shake and Burger King’s mini hamburgers (Steak & Shake & BK have discontinued them unfortunately) I have only had White Castle once and I would go back again! The Crinkle fries and they were pretty good as well!

Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Rationale: I really enjoyed how they labeled each item ingredient by ingredient! I have had no allergic reactions eating here! I would highly recommending that you do try this place!

Texas Roadhouse: Is it Worth It?

December 10, 2023 by Ben

Texas Roadhouse Allergen Menu: https://www.nutritionix.com/texas-roadhouse/menu/special-diets/premium

I remember eating at one when I was a kid once in Indiana. I ate steak bites and fries and I really enjoyed them. My hometown of Marysville, Ohio just got a franchise a couple of years ago and I still really like the place.

Fried Catfish

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: It is always hot and fresh and I really enjoy eating this food. It is one of my favorite seafood dishes that I can get at any restaurant. Plus it had some crunch to it.

Allergy Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Rationale: If you’re allergic to fish you already know that you shouldn’t get the fried catfish because it contains fish. It also contains gluten, soy, and eggs. I didn’t know it contained eggs, but I had no allergic reaction. I’m allergic to prodominately egg products like scrambled eggs, but I can have eggs baked into something like the catfish breading or a cake and I’ll be fine. There are a lot of allergies in this food item, but if you can eat it, I do recommend you try it.

Steak Fries

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Rationale: This food compliments the fried catfish perfectly! It is fresh and it is overall an amazing fry, I highly recommend eating these fries.

Allergy Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Rationale: The steak fries surprisingly contain fish, gluten, and soy. Most fries are really allergy free. I’m still thrown off by the steak fries having fish in it. I personally don’t understand why you would put fish in fries, but that might just be me. I feel your pain if you have a fish allergy.

Allergy Rating of the Restaurant: 3 out of 5 stars

Rationale: I remember one time eating here, they put some cheese on my catfish, it wasn’t that much, but you do got to check your food and make sure your allergen hasn’t been cross contaminated. Luckily they fixed my order and made it right, and that is why I can’t stress the importance of communicating to your waiter/waitress. The fish in the fries is a big strike for them, it excludes people with fish allergies other than that, I would recommend you eat at Texas Roadhouse, I have always got my food hot and fresh and the likelihood of you getting the same is pretty high.
