Buckeye Family Pizzeria is one of my family’s favorite pizza places. I never tried it till tonight, but I’m so happy I did. Lots of people said this place is really good and it delivered on the hype!
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: The wings were so juicy and so delicious. These were some of the best chicken wings I have ver had in my life. The food here delivers on the hype.
Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: The people on the phone were really nice and they answered every question I had, plus no allergic reactions. The customer service and professionalism here is pretty incredible! They don’t have an allergen menu on their website like Pizza Hut or some other huge pizza chain. If that was added that would make this place even better.
P.S. if you’re a restaurant owner and you want to have an allergen menu on your website, so you can attract more customers with food allergies I want to help you create an allergen menu. Email me at ben@bensallergyandrestaurantreviews.com or DM me and I would love to have a conversation with you! My goal is to help restaurants and help people with food allergies!

Windchimes: A Solid Chinese Place
I tried Windchimes Chinese Restaurant in Dublin, Ohio. I will say that I didn’t have an allergic reaction and they took my food allergies seriously. In many ways this reminded me of my favorite Chinese restaurant Stir Fresh Asian Canteen (Marysville, Ohio).
Food Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: My meal was solid. Not the greatest, but not the worst. If I come here again I’ll try and get some other meal. They have potstickers and sweet and sour chicken. They have a wide-menu with lots of different options, & that’s a good thing!
Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I liked they put no dairy on the receipt! That was the best part of the whole thing. Other Chinese places like Panda Express & PF Chang’s have online allergen menu that tell you what is dairy-free and what isn’t. If an online allergen menu was added on their website this would be a five star restaurant when it comes to dealing with food allergies.
P.S. If you’re a restaurant owner and would want me to write you an allergen menu for your restaurant please email me at ben@bensallergyandrestaurantreviews.com or send me a DM and I would be happy to talk with you about creating an allergen menu for your restaurant.
I know you’re busy and anyway that I can help you out will be beneficial for you & me.

This is My First Ever Cooking Blog
Today I have tried Something completely different! I bought Dairy-Free Queso at Whole Foods a couple of weeks ago & I just bought Dairy-Free Sour Cream at Kroger this week.
I have never had either dairy-free queso or dairy-free Sour Cream. So I decided to combine them with leftover skyline sloppy joe’s my Mom made on Monday.
You can customize it anyway you want. Doing Ground Beef taco meat will add to my recipe. My Mom even said that’s a great idea! But here’s the recipe that I will give you so you can make it with your family!
Ben’s Skyline Dip
1. Get some meat of your choice (Vegan substitutes work here as well)
2. Sour Cream
3. Queso
4. Combine all three to make a great lunch, snack, or dinner.
Do you think I should continue to make cooking Blogs? Let me know in the comments! Check Out my Tik Tok, YouTube, Instagram, & Podcast (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, & IHeart Radio) for the video version of me making my own version of the Skyline Dip!
Bru Burger Bar: A Burger Place With Dairy-Free Cheese!!!
This was the first time I ever tried Bru Burger Bar and I never knew there was a location near Polaris (Columbus, Ohio Suburb). I didn’t know what to expect but I was amazed by the professional service and great food!
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I really love the fries 🍟 that was the highlight of the trip. The fries put me in a happy place in my mind! I got a bison burger with Daiya Vegan Cheese, and other toppings as well.
I thought I ordered my burger with the Vegan Cheese, the bison patty, & the Oat Bun only, but I must’ve not communicated that clearly enough and I own that. I forget that people put sauces, pickles, tomatoes, & onions in their burgers and they just assumed I wanted that even though I didn’t.
That’s ok because I didn’t have an allergic reaction so I’m not mad. I’m just telling you what I want to do for next time I eat here.
Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I really loved the option for vegan cheese and the professionalism of the kitchen staff. They answered every question I had. I asked what brand of dairy-free cheese they had and they had Daiya dairy-free/vegan cheese. My waitress went back into the kitchen to ask because she didn’t know the answer to what brand of dairy-free cheese they have. Shoutout to her professionalism!
They wrote I had a dairy allergy on the receipt & I feel like Bru Burger Bar took my allergies seriously. They don’t have an online allergen menu, & if you’re gluten-free they do have a gluten-free menu.
The person taking me to my seat asked me if I wanted a gluten-free menu as soon as I told them I was eating in. Which is awesome for you who are gluten-free. I’m not gluten-free and they don’t have a dairy-free menu unfortunately. I believe that could be a future thing to add as well.
Overall, I think this restaurant is amazing and I would highly recommend eating here. Have you tried Bru Burger Bar before?
Piada: Great Dairy-Free Italian Food!
I love Piada Italian Street Food and I have had it so many times in my life, but I haven’t eaten here in a long time. I missed this place so much!
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I always enjoy eating their steak pasta. I add spinach for vegetables and it is still pretty good!
Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: They have an allergen menu that is easy to read. No more explanation is needed!
I highly recommend trying Piada Italian Street Food!
Moe’s Southwest Grill: Great With Food Allergies!!
I have had Moe’s Southwest Grill before, but it has been a while since I have last had it and it didn’t disappoint.
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I loved my tacos and the chips were pretty good too. I have no complaints about their food whatsoever.
Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: They have an allergen menu on their website and that’s a great sign! I had no allergic reactions today and I have never had any allergic reactions when eating at Moe’s Southwest Grill.
Do you like Moe’s?
Romeo’s Pizza: It Is Pretty Good!!!
Romeo’s Pizza has lots of locations around in the Central Ohio Area. I went to the one in Dublin. It was a very easy drive from my house and it was very nice!
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I enjoyed the pizza crust along with the topping. I threw some dairy-free cheese when I got home and I was really happy with their pizza!
Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I’m happy that they have an allergen menu, but I don’t see any allergen information about their wings. An update might be helpful, but there are still dairy-free options according to their website so I’m happy about that!
Checkers & Rally’s Is Pretty Good!
Checkers & Rally’s has been a very popular restaurant for a long time. Today I went to the one closest to me on Karl Road in Columbus. They do have dairy-free options here and that’s a good thing!
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: My food was amazing. I had wings and a apple pie. They were both so delicious. The fries do have dairy just to let you know but it didn’t matter because the apple pie and the wings were so good!
Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: They have an allergen menu that is easy to read. Plus I had no allergic reactions. There is nothing to complain about here.
Consider Me A Fan of Freddy’s
Freddy’s has a new location on Hilliard Rome Road in Columbus, Ohio. My Dad mentioned something about Freddy’s being in Columbus and I was shocked because I have never been to a Freddy’s Restaurant before. I’m so happy that Freddy’s is here in Columbus 😀
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I really enjoyed my bacon double steakburger. I asked for it plain and no cheese. I did get pickles, onions, and a little bit of mustard (luckily there was no cheese). I threw away the pickles and onions, but that didn’t matter because I loved the burger. There wasn’t much mustard so it wasn’t the end of the world. Also If you didn’t know already I’m not a condiment person and prefer to eat things without condiments (I know it’s not common for people to prefer things without condiments).
I really enjoyed the tater tots as well. My food was made to order and very fresh. I really thought the food was amazing and I really think this is a great place to get a fast food burger.
Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: Freddy’s has the best allergen menu I have ever seen. It was so easy to find food that was safe for me. If you Google Freddy’s Allergen Menu, it takes you to their website and you can view allergens so easy. They had a drop down button to view the nutrition and allergens of their food.
You can see what is dairy-free and what is not and it was really easy for me and I wasn’t stressed out eating here. I highly recommend you try Freddy’s.
Bojangle’s: A Dairy Free Surprise
Bojangle’s was pretty good! I had no idea there was one in Ohio until my Dad said there was one near the Menards on Hilliard-Rome Road. I was amazed there was a Bojangle’s in the state of Ohio. But I’m glad there is one.
Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I got a grilled chicken sandwich. I didn’t realize it came with mayo, lettuce, pickles, & tomatoes. I took the pickles and tomatoes off.
I couldn’t do anything about the mayo, but the mayo wasn’t awful (even though I’m not a sauce or condiments guy) . Next time I order I’ll get it without mayo because I’m picky and don’t like sauces in my sandwiches.
That’s on me for not knowing what standard grilled chicken sandwiches come with! Lesson learned for next time. But they had amazing fries! The seasoning of the fries was awesome. They reminded me of potato wedges with seasoning. The seasoning was amazing.
Allergy Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: They have an allergen menu and I was also amazed with how fast my food was ready. I just put my coat at the booth I was sitting at and the next thing you know they’re giving me my order. That was amazingly quick service. I also have no complaints whatsoever when it comes to dealing with food allergies.
I will say that I was a little disappointed they didn’t have fried chicken (not the chicken tenders) somehow their fried chicken was dairy free and their chicken tenders aren’t dairy free. But this is probably a new location and they’re testing the waters and if it does well, I’m sure they’ll add fried chicken like the more popular Bojangle’s restaurants.
Overall, I thought my food was good and this was my first time going here and that was why I was confused with their menu and what they offered. The allergen menu showcases foods nationwide and I was thinking they had fried chicken, & that’s why I went with the grilled chicken sandwich. With familiarity I’ll enjoy this restaurant because it was so delicious & I highly recommend you try Bojangle’s.
