I tried Taco Pros in Marysville, Ohio. The new restaurant just opened up last week and it was the first time I ever had it.

Rationale: I really enjoyed their steak protein bowl. The meat was nice and tender. I really enjoyed their steak protein tortilla strips and everything I had in my bowl. I can’t complain about it at all.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: I saw the menu being labeled for gluten free. If you’re gluten free items pretty easy to identify what you can’t and can eat. Unfortunately they don’t have it labeled for dairy free options.

Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant was the restaurant I tried tonight. I have seen a billboard of the restaurant as I was driving into Bellefontaine. It was a festive environment as there was karaoke playing as I was waiting to get my order to go.
It was near closing time and I didn’t want to eat past their closing time so I went to McDonald’s and ate in their parking lot after I went in and got a bottle of water to eat my dinner.

I tried Ron’s Pizza tonight and had a very nice waitress. She answered every one of my food allergy questions. Plus they have plenty of food options for you to choose from.

Food Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars:
The pizza toppings reminded me of my Mom’s pizza. I showed my Mom and she even agrees! The only difference is she uses Rhodes Rolls to make pizza or she gets a loaf of bread from Walmart and we put sauce and toppings on our pizza.
It was a nice surprise to know that Ron’s Pizza has pizza toppings like my Mom would make them.

Rationale: They do use their Facebook Page as their website. But their waitress did a great job. She had someone check the ingredients on the pizza crust and it was fine. I had no allergic reactions. I heard the kitchen say dairy allergy and that was nice to hear. They have great communication and felt like they took food allergies seriously.

Hot Head Burritos was my next stop to try! I have heard of this place before. I saw billboards of Hot Head Burritos trying to get a new location in Marysville, Ohio. We still don’t have a Hot Heads in Marysville yet. I do think it would be a great addition to my hometown.

Rationale: I got steak tacos with corn, bacon, lettuce, and no cheese. I have never been to a Mexican Place where they offered bacon on their tacos so I took advantage of it. I highly recommend you put bacon on your tacos! It’s that good!

Rationale: They have an easy to read allergen menu. I also didn’t have an allergic reaction. Hot Head Burritos reminds me of Chipotle a lot. They have plenty of dairy-free options that I can enjoy!

I highly recommend you try Hot Head Burritos.

I tried Hardee’s for the first time ever. It was combined with a Love’s and I have seen it driving through Bellefontaine, Ohio before and I wanted to try Hardee’s tonight.

Rationale: I really did enjoy their burger and fries. I got the burger with bacon & lettuce only, no cheese. I honestly have no complaints about the food whatsoever.

Rationale: Hardee’s has an allergen menu that’s easy to read. It was so easy for me to identify what was safe and what wasn’t. I also had no allergic reactions and that’s a great thing!
I will make a quick disclaimer to you to always check your food to see if they made your order right. The first burger they made had cheese on it so I went up to the counter and asked them to make another one. After I did that and communicated what I wanted they did get it right the second time.
Things happen and miscommunications happen all the time and that’s why being so alert and on-guard can save you from having an allergic reaction. I had the same thing happen to me at Wendy’s and Burger King before and that shouldn’t be a reason to not eat at Hardee’s.
I think Harden’s has great food and has a great allergen menu. I highly recommend you try Hardee’s.

I tried Stoner’s Ice Cream Parlor and I was hoping to find dairy-free ice cream and let me share my experience with you.

Rationale: Even though I didn’t find dairy-free & tree nut free ice cream I still found Oreos and I love Oreos.

Allergy Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Rationale: the people behind the counter were really nice. I asked if they had dairy-free ice cream and they said they did, but it had almond milk in it. I’m allergic to tree nuts so that wasn’t an option for me. I wish they had an oat milk ice cream to eat, because I was hoping to find ice cream, but I did at least get something to eat.

I tried the Liberty Gathering Place in West Liberty, Ohio and I walked away impressed with the service and the food.

Rationale: I got a Bison (Buffalo) burger (bacon, lettuce, & no cheese) and Waffle Fries. My food was amazing. The Bison burger tasted exactly like a hamburger and their waffle fries reminded me of Chick-Fil-A & Applebee’s waffle fries.

Rationale: they have a website where you can see the menu and that’s a great thing of course. I also didn’t have an allergic reaction and my waitress was amazing. She made sure my bun didn’t have dairy in it and they didn’t use butter on my bun (which is amazing). The only thing missing is an allergen menu.

Iron City Sports Bar is a Sports Bar in Bellefontaine, Ohio. It’s also near downtown Bellefontaine. It’s similar to Buffalo Wild Wings and the atmosphere felt like that.

Rationale: I did enjoy my Iron City Burger. I could taste the grill marks. That’s a sign of a great burger! I also got a huge helping of really good tater tots too.

Rationale: I didn’t have an allergic reaction. I’m so thankful for that! I was going to get the Iron City Burger with a gluten-free bun but they were out.
If you’re gluten-free please know that their gluten-free buns are on a limited availability basis.
I asked about their regular buns but my waitress said that they used butter on their buns and that’s why I was down to no bun or gluten-free bun.
Overall, I thought Iron City Sports Bar did do a great job with food allergies, but they don’t have an allergen menu as that’s the only thing missing.

Vicario’s Pizza is located just outside of downtown Bellefontaine, Ohio. They had plenty of seating and they had a bar to sit at as well.

Rationale: Wow! Their pizza is amazing! I loved the sausage, pepperoni, & green peppers. They had a thin crust and I liked their thin crust. I did like their tater tots as well. No complaints about the food at all.

Rationale: They do have a website that showcases their menu. My waitress went and asked to see if the pizza crust was dairy-free and made sure my food was safe. The only thing missing is an allergen menu.

I tried the China Grill Buffet in Bellefontaine, Ohio. I skipped the buffet and got my food to go and ate it in my car due to the risk of cross contamination. Also there isn’t an allergen menu on their website. I just assumed that they didn’t label for allergens on the buffet line. (if you have food allergies, do you like to eat at buffets?)
